This page explains what information Mujix ("we", "us") collects when you use the app — as a venue owner, DJ, or a guest requesting songs at a party — and what we do with it.
If you create a Mujix account, we store your username, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID and the email address Google shares with us.
Guests requesting songs at a party don't create an account. We only ask for a display name (shown next to the songs you request) and use your IP address briefly to prevent spam song requests. We don't require or knowingly collect any other personal information from guests.
We store the playlists, song requests, screen/device names, and NFC tag names that venue owners and their guests create, so the app can function — queueing songs, displaying them on screens, and remembering venue setups.
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and an optional "remember me" cookie so you don't have to log in every visit. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Account and venue data is kept for as long as your account is active. Cached song search results are automatically deleted after a few hours. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Passwords are hashed, and third-party API credentials (Spotify tokens, personal API keys) are encrypted at rest. We don't sell your data to third parties.
Mujix is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You can access, correct, or delete your account data at any time from within the app, or by contacting us directly.
